Over the past couple of years, through a chance meeting at the IAPTI conference in London in October 2013, I have visited Ukraine on several occasions to deliver lectures and lead seminars and workshops on the subjects of: Interpreting within the UK Justice System, the structure of the Criminal Justice System in UK, Interpreting for the Police, translating modern English literature and other subjects. I have worked at the universities of Donetsk and Vinnetsa and have plans to visit other universities in the cities of Odessa and Chernivitsi. My experience of working with staff and students in Ukraine has been very positive and I feel greatly enriched as a result of my work there.
